The search link decides which listings L.O.O.T. looks at. The advanced filters decide which of those are worth bothering you about. They are available from the Reseller plan up and are set for each search, on the same screen where you paste the link.
There are five fields. We go through them one by one and explain exactly how they are applied, because that's where most questions come from.
Minimum and maximum price
A listing passes if its price falls between the two values, both included. With a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 200, a listing at €200 reaches you, but one at €200.50 doesn't.
You can fill in just one of the two fields. If you leave the minimum empty there is no lower limit, and if you leave the maximum empty there is no upper limit.
One special case: if the price in a listing can't be read, for example because the seller wrote “price in description” or “negotiable”, the price filter isn't applied and the listing reaches you anyway. Better an extra notification than a missed listing.

Allowed keywords
Write one or more words separated by commas. The listing passes if it contains at least one of these words. Upper or lower case doesn't matter.
This is useful when the search on the platform has to be broad, but you only care about certain variants. Keep in mind that the word is also matched inside other words: pro finds “Pro”, but also “product” and “protection”. That's why it's better to choose distinctive words.
Excluded keywords
These work the other way around: the listing is discarded if it contains even one of the excluded words. This is the filter that removes the most noise, because it lets you drop accessories, spare parts and broken items in one go.
Matching inside words applies here too, and here it can do damage. If you exclude box to remove box-only listings, you'll also discard every listing that contains “Xbox”. Write solo scatola (box only) or scatola vuota (empty box) instead: terms made of several words are matched exactly as written.
If you use allowed and excluded words together, the listing has to pass both checks: contain at least one allowed word and no excluded word.
Searching in the title only
The Search keywords in title only switch is on by default, and in most cases it's best to leave it that way.
When it's on, allowed and excluded words are matched only against the listing title, which L.O.O.T. reads straight from the results page. This is the fastest way.
When you turn it off, the words are also matched against the description. To read it, though, L.O.O.T. has to open every single listing, and this slows down the search check: the more new listings appear, the slower it gets. The app reminds you of this when you turn it off.
Turn it off only when the information you need really is in the description. The typical case is excluded words: many sellers write “not working” or “screen needs replacing” only in the text, and a clean title hides a broken item.

Here Vinted handles the size: it's much more reliable than a keyword, because it doesn't depend on how the seller wrote the title.
Graphics card, watch out for defects
Here it makes sense to turn off title-only search: graphics card defects are almost always in the description. pc completo removes listings for complete computers that include that card.
The most common mistakes
- Words that are too short.
pro,box,mini,maxappear inside too many other words. Use the longer form or a two-word phrase. - Too many allowed words. If you add twenty, almost everything passes and the filter stops being useful. A few distinctive words work better.
- Forgetting variants. One seller writes “PS5”, another “Playstation 5”, yet another “play 5”. If you use allowed words, add them all.
- Filtering the same thing twice. If you already set the price on the platform, you can leave it empty in the advanced filters or use it for a tighter limit. The two don't have to match.
- Turning off “title only” on very busy searches. On a search with dozens of new listings an hour, the check becomes noticeably slower.
If your plan doesn't include filters
With Starter and Hobbyist the advanced filter fields are visible but locked. You can still get much of the same result by preparing the link well: minimum and maximum price, condition, size, brand and area can all be set on the platform before you copy the address.
